2009 CELEBRITY SPEAKERS AND APPEARANCES TO BE ANNOUNCED

Special Thanks to our 2008 Celebrities and Speakers

Colbie Caillat
A great song, says Colbie Caillat, should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good. Taking her own sound advice, "Coco," the debut album by the 22 year-old Californian singer-songwriter, is simply crammed full of them. "Coco" is one of those classic albums that simply makes you feel glad to be alive. "You make me smile, please stay for a while," she sings on Bubbly. It really ought to be her mantra. Presented for the Southern New England Women's Expo by 92ProFM.

Matching Wine With Foods
Steve Krohn began his wine career in 1985 with the E&J Gallo. He has worked with Sakonnet Vineyards and is currently with Newport Vineyards. Steve and his wife Debra opened the New England Wine School after he completed advanced wine training at Johnson and Wales and now presents his classes at Gracie's Restaurant in Providence. Their goals are to remove the mystery and intimidation that many people feel about wine due to a lack of training. Each class uses blind tastings to teach wine analysis and the basic language of wine. Steve and Debra began Wine Entertainment Resources in 2006, which creates private wine events for corporate and leisure groups throughout New England. They have appeared on the Food Network for a Newport segment of Giada's Weekend Getaway. They own and operate the Rockwell House Inn in Bristol. Debra's recipes have been published in Bon Appetit and the New York Times. For the Southern New England Women's Expo Debra and Steve will teach the language of wine by analyzing the color, aroma and flavors of several local wines. Each participant will learn how a basic understanding of terminology can make it much easier to communicate their wine preferences to wine shop employees and waiters. The class will also cover fundamental wine and food pairing principals.
